72 Books in 2022
I have set a goal to read 72 books this year. Fiction, non-fiction, dissertation-focused, biographies—I’ll read almost anything. I am excited to take on a challenge like this. If you have done the math, that works out to about 6 books each month. Since I am still a doctoral candidate, I might be stacking more books into the summers and winter breaks to take care of the cognitive load of getting through 72 books. I won’t include chapters of books I read for my dissertation, rather only books I read in full.
I love murder mysteries, biographies and memoirs, Christian living and devotional books, higher education texts, and the occasional staple work of literature. You’ll find all kinds of books here. There are far more that I would like to read than possible in one year—but reading is a lifelong marathon, not a sprint.
Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with my journey. Below you’ll find each month’s books (updated by the end of each month), brief synopses, a rating, and a few words I might use to describe them. I’ll give a more detailed look at one book each month by the end of 2022. I am looking forward to making reading a priority in 2022. Join me on the journey!
