Q. WHERE DID YOU GRADUATE COLLEGE?
A. That’s a great question. I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Ouachita is located in Arkadelphia, AR — a town of only 12,000 people, but fun nonetheless. Now, you may be asking, how did an accounting major end up in seminary and pursuing Christian higher education? I’m not sure that I have a definitive or completely rational answer for you. Just know that I followed where I felt God leading me and am excited to serve in Christian education, a field I have reaped benefits from for many years.
Q. CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WIFE?
A. Great question! Why yes, I can. Caroline is the light of my world and I love her dearly. We met while in college and married in August 2016. I have the best time with her because she is truly my best friend. She loves to bake, watch Gilmore Girls, and go to exciting new restaurants around Dallas. The girl also loves Reese’s Cups, and I am totally on her side.
Q. WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE WHEN IT COmes to biblical doctrine?
A. I have a working copy of my doctrinal beliefs that can be accessed here. As I continue to seek the Lord daily I continue to have more questions and a few more answers. I look forward to developing my beliefs for years and years to come. For brevity, I mostly ascribe to reformed-dispensational theology.
Q. If you had to pick an animal that you most relate to, what would it be?
A. This is an incredibly easy question for me to answer. I won’t say lion, tiger, or bear (oh my). It has to be “meerkat” for me. I’m intrigued not only by their funny looks but also their creative wit and sensibility. They are curious and always attentive, yet they are also very cautious and critical thinkers (or so I like to think, I have no research to back up these claims). What’s not to like about meerkats?
